Palafox Market: Grab a cup of coffee and head to Palafox Market; it’s a terrific way to spend a Saturday morning before working on your tan. From the amazing local food products to fresh produce, you’ll be sure to find something to enjoy. Pickup some goodies for a picnic on the beach or peruse the crafts and wares made by local artisans for all your souvenir shopping.

Egg Fest: A yearly event held at the Pensacola Blue Wahoos stadium, chefs come from all over to grill up their favorite dishes on the Big Green Egg. Grab a beer and make sure to come hungry because you get to sample them all. You’ll find everything from pizza creations to more creative plates like waffle wrapped sausages. And the best part? It’s all for charity!

SoGourmet: Pensacola’s newest culinary experience, SoGourmet is both approachable and refined. A space for both artisan vendors, events and cooking classes, the olive oil, vinegar, wine and cheese selection is to die for and you’ll find yourself in heaven after their free tastings. I highly recommend picking up a bottle of their 18-year aged balsamic and some butter olive oil. You just can’t go wrong at this place.

Restaurant Iron: One of the most delicious meals I had in Pensacola, the food at Restaurant Iron was nothing short of sensational. The atmosphere is cozy and the cocktails jubilent. Start with the truffle fries before meandering down the menu to order the chicken pot pie – it’s life changing. You can’t forget dessert, but be prepared for the most delicious food coma ever.

History of Pensacola Sign: Did you know Pensacola was the first European settlement in the continental United States? Even before Jamestown and St. Augustine! With a rich history that spans mutiple countries, wars, and axes of power, little signs like this will keep you up on your history as you explore the town.
If you want a history lesson under water, take a dive to one of the incredible shipwrecks right off Pensacola shores. Now, that’s what we call a hands on lesson!
