Beautiful Loreto Bay in Mexico is a haven for wildlife, and a gorgeous place to hang out where you can get an authentic taste of Mexico. Take a trip out to the gorgeous Coronado Islands for secluded beaches, and exceptional scuba-diving and snorkeling.

Loreto Bay Homes has lots of private villas available to rent by the day, week, or longer. Sizes range from nicely sized townhouse to opulent rap video sized mansions, and all are located close to pools (or have their own) and are steps from the beach.

You can tee off at the Loreto Baja Golf Resort and Spa, which offers a dazzlingly brilliant green course situated just by the ocean, and is surrounded by craggy mountains. It is a beautiful location to play in.

There are lots of neat little stores to explore in historic downtown Loreto. Conchita’s Curious, just off the main drag, is a great place to pick up neat items to bring home, whether you are looking for pottery, decor, or a new sundress.

There’s a Sunday market in Loreto that runs from the early hours until about mid-day. You can buy everything there, from produce and baked goods to used clothing and everything else you could think of. It’s a real slice of local life.

The marine life around Loreto Bay is plentiful, and as soon as you head out into the Bay on a boat you’ll encounter groups of loud, animated sea lions frolicking and fighting.

The sandy beach is beautiful in Loreto Bay, and the ocean so warm and inviting, BUT, you need to be wary of the stingrays that are plentiful in the shallows. So long as you drag your feet through the sand as you walk, you’ll be fine.

There are lots of good restaurants in Loreto, but the food at La Picazon is superb. It is located right on the beach, has a lovely artsy feel, and the huge margaritas they serve make every meal go down so much more happily. Hic.
