When you’re planning a trip to Snowshoe Mountain, don’t forget to make time to relax at the spa.
Planning a vacation can be tiring. After you schedule each day full of adventure activities, dining options and making sure everyone in the family has something to occupy them, you often return home feeling like you need a vacation from your vacation.
Not at Snowshoe Mountain Resort.
With the newly opened 3,600 square feet luxury spa, right in the heart of the village and steps from Allegheny Springs Lodge, it’s easy to schedule an appointment or two at The Spa to really relax.
From the moment you arrive at The Spa, you’ll feel like you’ve been whisked away. The relaxing music, soft colors, and plush robe help set the scene. After changing in the locker room, you’ll be greeted by one of the massage therapists with cucumber water and magazines. If you’ve booked a massage, you’ll be then taken to one of The Spa’s individual rooms, complete with massage table, soft lighting, and relaxing music. A sweet lavender scent fills the room, and the masseuse will ask if there were any problem areas before she begins her service.
Types of Services Offered
From a full body, light to hard pressure Swedish massage to a Hot Stone massage, targeted to release knots, you will leave The Spa more refreshed, relaxed and tranquil then after a 10-hour deep sleep.
If you want to book more than one treatment, consider getting one of The Spa’s Hydrating Body Wraps or Rejuvenating facials. The Hydrating Body Wrap will replenish your skin from the harsh climate changes and dehydration. This 60 or 90-minute treatment will cover your body in a warm wrap with your feet in a detoxifying mud booties. The Rejuvenating facial will focus on your target areas (as discussed with the facialist) to illuminate your skin.
The guys aren’t left out at The Spa, either. After a long day on the slopes consider the Therapy massage to release any tension or muscle issues. This technique combines deep tissue and sports medicine techniques to really help address any problem areas. There is also a Gentleman’s Sea Escape Facial to help relax and repair any damage from a day in the harsh conditions.
