Luxury Resort & Horseback Riding in Santa Barbara

Family, Luxury

The Living Room at Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort

The Living Room at Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort

The rooms at Alisal have a modern updated ranch design, complete with fireplaces, wool blankets and apple pie as a welcome gift. The only thing missing: televisions. The common living room is the one area on the ranch with a tv.

An afternoon horseback ride at Alisal Guest Ranch

Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort is a quick drive in the countryside from Santa Barbara, California. This resort is perfect for families and couples and known for repeat family visits for generations.

Every morning and afternoon, the guest at Alisal Guest Ranch can particpate in a horseback ride. Choose from beginner, intermediate or advanced trails.

The horses taking a break during breakfast

If you join a morning ride, you’ll hitch up your horse while you eat breakfast. Here, there are fifty horses waiting for you to finish!

Mini horses at Alisal Guest Ranch

Besides horseback riding, your family can visit the small farm on the property to learn about the mini-horses, the ranch turtle and the adorable fat pigs.

Breakfast on the ranch

Breakfast on the ranch looks like this: manhole sized pancakes and lots of meat. You work up quite the appetite on your horseback rides.

Talking chickens at the farm

The farm has many animals with multiple personalities. While these chickens couldn’t actually talk, they were very loud and expressive.

Saying goodbye to the horses

The horses are always close by no matter where you are on the ranch. Before you depart Alisal, make sure to give the horses a final thanks for a week worth of riding. Are one week, you’ll want to make this a yearly family trip.
