Next stop: Wonders of Wildlife, a world-class aquarium and wildlife museum. The immersive exhibits took the girls and I on a journey through the world’s oceans and jungles. From adorable otters to majestic sharks, every corner was a visual feast. Not to mention the life size exhibits were INCREDIBLE! Tip: must do the penguin encounter!
Heirloom Candle Bar: Craft Your Own Memories 🕯️
Looking for a unique and personalized souvenir? Heirloom Candle Bar was an absolute delight! I got to channel my inner artist and create a custom-scented candle that gave me Anthropologie vibes. The cozy atmosphere and helpful staff made this experience not only fun but also a perfect way to remember my trip to Springfield. Plus, the girls were able to follow the guide easily so I would say it’s great for ages 7 and up!
Black Sheep Burgers: A Culinary Adventure 🍔🌈

For an unforgettable sunset experience, I headed to Top of the Rock. The panoramic views of Table Rock Lake and the Ozark Mountains were absolutely breathtaking. Whether you’re sipping cocktails at the Top of the Rock Bar or exploring the Lost Canyon Cave and Nature Trail, this place is a must-visit for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.The Nature at Night was so fun and who doesn’t love driving a golf cart around Christmas lights?!
Dickerson Zoo: Wild Encounters 🦓🦁
Animal lovers, rejoice! Dickerson Zoo was a highlight of my trip, offering an up-close and personal experience with a diverse array of wildlife. The well-maintained exhibits and educational programs showcased the zoo’s commitment to conservation and animal welfare. Plus, they do have the best selfie in Springfield, with their beautiful giraffe feeding experience!
Fantastic Caverns: Nature’s Underground Marvels 🌌
Last but definitely not least, I explored the Fantastic Caverns, an underground wonder that left us in awe. The guided jeep tour took us through breathtaking limestone formations, and the history behind this natural marvel added an extra layer of excitement. Plus it was so dark, we couldn’t believe people explored them without light bulbs once before!
