The small town outside of Joshua Tree National Park is basically a two lane road with the most intricate and detailed murals on most buildings. You have to drive around to see them all before leaving the area.

There are nine campsites in Joshua Tree National Park in various areas at different elevations. If you request a spot with enough notice, you can have your pick of what area of the park you stay in.
